Spring is here! And Terrapin Station Winery has been abuzz with activity. We know turtles don't necessarily exude excitement and enthusiasm, but we have a lot of new things to tell you about!
Our Tasting Room officially opens for the season this Saturday, March 24. We will be open from 12-6 pm on Saturdays and Sundays through the summer. Beginning June 14, we expand to open Thursdays and Fridays as well. Read more below about what's new in the Tasting Room and our new wines. Both our bottled and box wines, including our popular Better Red than Dead, are available for tasting.
Also, at the Winery, the Elkton Eclipse Vintage Base Ball Club returns to play their home games in our fields. Opening Day is Sunday, April 25 at 12:00 p.m. Bring a chair, a picnic lunch, and plan to have some wine while you sit back and watch.
We have planned several big events throughout the summer at the Winery. On June 16-17, we'll have an Art and Chocolate event featuring The Artsy Girls' Guild and chocolates by the Perfect Truffle. July 14 will see the Pyrates Royale, Salty Dog, and other entertainment for our Pirate Weekend. (More details to come soon) And September 22, we will have a Harvest Festival. We're also planning a big event for Halloween weekend at the winery. We're also participating in several wine festivals in Maryland. And yep, we'll probably need volunteers for a few.
To keep track and to dig a little deeper, we've launched a new Blog on our website - Drink Wine, Think Turtle. We'll be launching a new series, Terrapin Tips for Winetasting - to provide some insights for visiting tasting rooms and for tasting wines at festivals.
Keep reading to find out more. We look forward to seeing you in person or in cyberspace soon.
