The Winery

Proprietors: Morris and Janet Zwick

Location: Elkton, Cecil County, Maryland
Corner of Ricketts Mill Road and Route 213 We are about midway between Baltimore and Philadelphia, or as we like to say, at the last/first exit on I-95 in Maryland
Date Founded: Winery founded 2003; First Crush 2006
First Wine Sales: 2008, Opened Tasting Room in 2010
Size of Property: 44 Acre farm (where Janet grew up)
Acres of Grapes: 7.5 Currently (adding 2 more in the Spring of 2011)
Varieties Planted: White: Vidal, Cayuga White, Traminette
Red: Sangiovese, Shiraz, Cabernet Franc, St. Vincent, Marquette
Visitor Times: Our Tasting Room is currently open Saturday 12-6 and Sunday 12-6

Our Wines

Our Growing and Wine-making Philosophy:
- Grow grapes that thrive in Eastern Shore climate
- Reduce need for pesticides, additives

Our Packaging

- Owners Janet and Morris Zwick are University of Maryland Alumni & grew up in Maryland
- Committed to preserving the Chesapeake Bay and the Turtle
- Portion of all proceeds go to Terrapin Institute to preserve the endangered terrapin
