Four new wines from the outstanding 2010 vintage were released by TSW this December!

2010 was a fantastic year for grape growing in Maryland, and now we get to enjoy the excellent reds and one white blend from that great vintage!

Two of the reds make a return to our lineup: Cabernet Franc and Shiraz. Both have been well received wines in the past, and we think this vintage is our best yet. Naturally a little higher in alcohol due to the excellent ripening conditions, both of these wines are well-structured and full-bodied. Both wines have aging potential as we have maintained a bit of a tannic bite, but don't let them sit around too long or you will miss out on the fun.

Our Sangiovese is making its first and, for the time being, last appearance ever in the TSW lineup. This classic Italian red grape is very finicky to grow in our climate and we finally got a weather year that appealed to its nature. But this single release is it: once it's gone, we will probably never make it again as we are pulling out the vines this winter! So get this rare wine while you can.

Finally, we are introducing our Tartaruga Bianco. It is an intriguing blend of white grapes in a combination that we are keeping secret: like good Italians, we want a little mystery in our lives.
All of these wines will come in 750 ml bottles (with screwcaps, of course - we don't want to ruin them with corks).
We will start distributing these wines to our stores around the state as they are released, and they will be available in our tasting room. With our winter hours in the tasting room, please watch for when we will be open for you to try these new wines.
